I had to envy her energy, that she could run so fast in what had to be a pretty heavy suit of armor. Then again, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, considering the most energetic and hyper people I know in my life happen to be women. Maybe there was something in that extra X chromosome that provided the needed burst.

If I had any doubts that the figure ahead was Thomas, they were eased by his less than masculine dealings with the two, uh, guys. At least, I figured the lizard was a guy.
